University profile: This University came into existence in the year 1987. It is one of the most reputed universities of the state. It is known for its quality education and guidance provided to the students. It has a variety of courses to be offered to the students. It is a well-known leader in the state of Calcutta.
Job profile: The role of the professors, assistant professors and associate professors will be to expertise the students in their field of interest and provide them with quality education and help them in their all round development. Their responsibility also includes helping the students in their project work.
Eligibility: A candidate must be an Indian national.
Education required: A candidate must be a PhD in the relevant field with a sufficient experience in the teaching profession OR a first class ME/M.Tech with a relevant experience.
No. of posts: There are 12 posts for professors, 39 for the post of assistant professor and 20 for the post of associate professor.
Pay scale: The pay scale given to a professor will be Rs34700-64000 + grade pay of Rs10000.
The pay scale given to an assistant professor will be Rs15600-39100 + grade pay of Rs6000 and the pay scale given to an associate professor will be Rs34700-64000 + grade pay of Rs9000.
Selection procedure: The eligible candidate will be short listed on the basis of their qualifications and their relevant experience. The short listed candidates will be called for an interview.
How to apply: The eligible candidates have to apply in the prescribed format given on the website or in the advertisement. They have to send their supporting documents along with the applications. The candidates are required to pay an application fee in the form of a DD of Rs100 in case of GEN/OBC and Rs50 in case of SC/ST payable to the Registrar, Tripura University at SBI, Tripura University Campus Branch, and Code-10495. The application forms can also be obtained through cash. The applications must be sent to Registrar, Tripura University, Suryamaninagar, and Tripura – 799130.
