University profile: Central University of Kashmir is a known and reputed university. It has a large no. of courses for the students and a high class faculty. It has also got a good infrastructure and good facilities for training and research. It was established to make 15 new universities in the states where there are no universities.  

Job profile: The professors will be required to teach and provide high quality education to the students in various departments. They will be required to provide them training and practical knowledge. They will also have to prepare the examination papers.

Educational Qualifications:

For a professor – A candidate must be an eminent scholar with a minimum experience of 10 years in research/post graduate teaching.

For associate professors – A candidate have a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% and a good academic plus a minimum experience of 5 years.

For assistant professors – A candidate must have a good academic record and a master’s degree. A candidate must have cleared the national eligibility test.

No. of posts: There are 3 posts for professors, 6 for associate professors and 11 for assistant professors.

Pay scale: The professors will get a pay scale of Rs37400-67000 plus a grade pay of Rs10000, the associate professors will get a pay scale of Rs34700-67000 plus a grade pay of Rs9000 and the assistant professors will get a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs6000.

Selection process: The candidates have to appear for an interview. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their past educational record.

The candidates have to send a DD of Rs300 drawn in the favor of central university of Kashmir payable at Srinagar. The candidates must send the applications along with the copies of their certificates at the reception of the university either by hand or by speed post.
