University profile: Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of the most reputed universities in India. It is one of oldest too. It has a great variety of courses to offer and a large no. of institutes affiliated to it. It has good faculty and facilities for the students.

Job profile: The professors will be required to impart high class education and training to the students. They will be required to assist them with their project work, lab work etc. They will also be responsible for nurturing a student’s talent and encourage him to face the challenges ahead.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must prescribe the qualifications as described by the UGC/MHRD. Relaxation in the percentage of marks will be provided as per the rules.

No. of posts: There are 149 posts (including reservation) in total which include approximately 39 posts for professors, 55 for associate professors and 55 for assistant professors. These posts are divided among various colleges under JNU and also among various departments.

Pay scale: A professor will be given a pay scale of Rs37400-67000 plus a grade pay of Rs10000, an associate professor will be given a pay scale of Rs37400-67000 plus a grade pay of Rs9000 and an assistant professor will be given a pat scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs6000.

Selection process: The candidates will have to appear for an interview. The candidates will be selected on the merit basis.
