Bihar Agricultural University is shortly called as BAU and the university came into existence in the year 1908. The university was previously called as Bengal Provincial Agricultural College and it is located at the place called Sabour at Bhagalpur. The university not only offers education, but also conducts research in the fields like agriculture and horticulture.

Bihar Agricultural University has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Programme Coordinator to work in different Krishi Vidya Kendras working under the Bihar Agricultural University located at Sabour.

Name of the Vacancy : Programme Coordinator

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 19, which is divided among the different categories of candidates as follows:

o UR – 10

o EBC – 03

o SC – 03

o BC – 02

o RCF - 01

Remuneration: Candidates will be coming under the pay brand of Rs.15600-39100+AGP of Rs.8000.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess good academic record with a doctoral degree in relevant field of Dairy technology, home science, nematology, plant pathology, plant protection (entomology), soil science, agroforestry, agricultural engineering, horticulture, livestock production, plant breeding, agronomy, agricultural extension, fisheries, animal science, horticulture and agriculture with not less than 55% of marks or its equivalent grade at the Master’s degree level.

Experience: Candidates must possess five years experience of teaching, research and or extension on the position of junior scientist/professor or equivalent grade in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500 excluding the period spent for getting research or ph. D degree and they must have made some mark in areas of scholarship as evidence by quality of curricula, design of new course, contribution to educational innovation and quality of publications.

Selection Procedure:

Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and their performance in the interview will be used as the criteria for selection.

Candidates belonging to General/BC/EBC/RCF category will have to drawn an Account Payee DD for Rs.450 in favor of the Comptroller B.A.U. Sabour payable at SBI, Sabour Branch, which should be attached along with application. SC/ST category candidates will have to draw DD for Rs.150.
