National Institute of Ocean Technology shortly called as NIOT is located in the city of Chennai and it is the technical arm of the Government of India’s Ministry of Earth Sciences. The institute is functioning with the broad objective of promotion of technology development in activities pertaining to ocean resource utilization and ocean engineering.

Recruitment by NIOT:

National Institute of Ocean Technology is planning to recruit candidates for different administrative positions on contract basis on consolidated pay basis and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the institute in this respect:

Name of the Vacancies: Project Senior Executive and Project Executive (Hindi)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 21, which is divided among the two positions as follows:

• Project Senior Executive – 20 (Post Code PSE-002)

• Project Executive (Hindi) – 01 (Post Code PEH-004)

Duration of employment: The duration of engagement of candidates for both positions would be three years or co-terminus with the project in which the candidate is engaged, whichever is earlier.

Salary: Salary range for Project Senior Executive position is Rs.27300-30400 and for Project Executive position is Rs.17400-19200. The actual salary will be fixed anywhere between the salary range given for each position based on the suitability, experience and qualification of each individual candidate.

Age: Upper age limit is 35 years for Project Senior Executive position, which is relaxable for Ex-servicemen and government employees, while the upper age limit for the position of Project Executive is 33 years.
