National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has invited applications for the position of Scientist ‘B’, Group ‘A’, and Technical Assistant A. Engineering/MCA and PG holders in science can apply for the corresponding positions till May 8, 2013. Application process and fee payment must be made online, through the portal of NIELIT. Selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of a written exam and interview. Exam centers like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Ranchi are organized for conducting written test.

Selection Process for Scientist/ Technical Assistant in NIELIT 2013

Selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of a written exam and interview. Weightage of marks given for the written exam and interview are in the ratio of 85:15. There will be two sections for the written exam, aptitude and technical. A total of 120 objective model questions are asked for the test. Total marks for the test is 120. Only those candidates who qualify the written exam are called for interview. Verification of documents is also done at this stage.

Application Process for Scientist/ Technical Assistant in NIELIT 2013

Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of NIELIT. After logging to the web portal, applicants must click the link for fee payment, as the very first step. Here they have to enter details on name, contact number, community, and date of birth. On submitting this form, candidates are opened with an online payment gateway for depositing fees. Upon fee transaction, a journal number will be generated.

Application fee amounts to Rs. 750/- for general and OBC category candidates. For SC/ST, the fee amounts to Rs. 375/- only. Fee payment made through any other modes of payment like demand draft, pay order, cheque, or challan is not accepted.

After fee payment, candidate can start with online application process. Educational qualification, marks obtained, contact address, etc must be entered in the application form. Filled up application form must be submitted along with a scanned photo and signature. Candidates must recheck the application form before submission. After submitting the application form, candidates should take the hard copy of application for future reference.
