The Central Building Research Institute was established in the year 1947 at Roorkee by the Government of India. The research institute is responsible for the generation and promotion of science and technology in the service of India. The another major function of the institute is to provide economical solutions to the problems of materials, rural and urban housing, energy conservation, fire hazards etc. one of the another major objective of the institute is to carry out applied and basic research in all areas of building science.

1. Recruitment of Scientist Grade IV (2):
No. of posts: 52 posts (Gen-32, SC-8, ST-3 and OBC-9)
Age Limit: The maximum age limit set for the post is 35 Years.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600

2. Recruitment of Scientist Grade IV (1):
No. of posts: 4 posts (Gen-3 and SC-1)
Age Limit: The maximum age limit set for the post is 35 Years.

3. Recruitment of Technical Staff Grade III (2):
No. of posts: 10 posts (Gen-7, SC-1 and OBC-2)
Age Limit: The maximum age limit set for the post is 28 Years.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200

4. Recruitment of Technical Staff Grade III (1):

5. Recruitment of Research Interns:
