Railway Protection Force was established with the aim of protecting railway passengers and railway property from criminals. RPF ensures safety and security to the passengers in Indian Railways. Railway Protection Force acts as an armed force of the union under RPF Act. 1957. There are several zones and divisions of Railway protection force in different states of the country. Railway Protection Force works on the motto ‘Passengers First’.
Job profile:
Candidates can apply for the posts of SCR Constables (Male/Female) depending on their educational qualification. The candidates will have to perform the routine work of a constable.
Eligibility:
Physical Measurement for Male Candidates: Height- 165 cms, Weight-50 kg and Chest-80.
Physical Measurement for Female Candidates: Height- 157 cms, Weight-46 kg.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have a Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board for applying for the posts.
No. of posts:
For Male: 211 posts (Gen-110, SC-21, ST-32 and OBC-48)
For Female: 26 posts (Gen-14, SC-2, ST-4 and OBC-6)
Pay scale: Selected candidates will be paid the salary of Rs. 5200-20000 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000.
Selection process:
Candidates will have to undergo a written examination. Candidate’s performance in the examination will play a major part in the final selection for the posts.
Last date for the reciept of Application is 15 December 2009.
