National Green Tribunal is a Ministry of Environment & Forests initiative for the sole objective of protection of environment and conservation of forests. The dedicated jurisdiction of the tribunal in environmental matters offers speedy justice to envinronmental matters, thereby reducing the burden of high courts.

Recruitment by National Green Tribunal:

National Green Tribunal has called for applications from eligible Indian citizens in prescribed format for various to be filled up at its zonal benches in Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and for its Principal Bench at New Delhi.

Name of the positions: Different vacancies

Number of Vacancies: Total 19 vacancies are divided between various positions as follows:

• Section Officer – 06 (one post each for zonal offices at Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and two posts for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

• Principal Private Secretary – 01 (for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

• Hindi Officer– 01 (for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

• Hindi Translator – 05 (one post each for zonal offices at Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and one post for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

• Accounts Officer– 01 (for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

• Accountant – 05 (one post each for zonal offices at Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and one post for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

Pay scale: Pay scales for the positions are:

• Section Officer – PB-2 with Rs.9300-34800 & GP of Rs.4800

• Principal Private Secretary– PB-3 with Rs.15600-39100 & GP of Rs.6600

• Hindi Officer – PB-2 with Rs.9300-34800 & GP of Rs.4200

• Hindi Translator – PB-2 with Rs.9300-34800 & GP of Rs.4200

• Accounts Officer– PB-2 with Rs.9300-34800 & GP of Rs.4800

• Accountant – PB-1 with Rs.5200-20200 & GP of Rs.2400

Basis of filling up vacancies:

• Section Officer – 100% of the vacancy is going to be filled on merit cum seniority basis

• Principal Private Secretary– 100% of the vacancy is going to be filled on merit cum seniority basis

• Hindi Officer – 100% by promotion failing which deputation basis will be followed

• Hindi Translator – 100% by direct recruitment failing which deputation basis will be followed

• Accounts Officer– 100% by promotion failing which deputation basis will be followed

• Accountant – 100% by direct recruitment failing which deputation basis will be followed
