Bihar Agricultural University is a renowned agricultural university which came into existence alongwith other five agricultural colleges estbalished during year 1906 to 1910. It is a premier institution for the purpose of Agricultural Education and Research in the country. The university started off as a Bengal Provincial Agricultural College, Sabour. The Post Graduation education was introduced by the university in the year 1955. The post graduate courses were included in its five departments named Horticulture, Extension Education, Plant Pathology, Agronomy and Entomology.
