The corporation actually resulted as a joint venture between the Government of India, AMOCO and National Iranian Oil Company. Mr. Sarthak Behuria is the current chairman of the corporation. The corporation mainly deals in the products such as Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, LPG and Ptrochemicals. The corporation is considered to have the most complex refineries present in India.

Job Profile:

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited is making recruitment of eligible Indian nationals (only Person with Disabilities) for the following Supervisory and Non Supervisory positions. The name of the posts available are Senior Officer, Engineer, Hindi Translator and Stenotypist.

1. Recruitment of Senior Officer:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry is required for the post. Candidates with Mathematics as one of the main subject in Graduation will get preference.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 29100-54500 per month.

2. Recruitment of Engineer- Electrical:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: bachelor’s degree in Engineering with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized indian university is required.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 29100-50500 per month.

3. Recruitment of Hindi Translator:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi from any recognized university is required for the post. Candidates possessing Master Degree in English are also eligible for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 5800-11100 per month.

4. Recruitment of Steno Typist:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation Degree from any recognized university with atleast 60% marks in aggregate is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 5800-11100 per month.

Selection Process:

The mode of selection of candidates on any of the above specified posts includes two stages i.e. Technical test and Personal Interview test. The final selection of candidates will be made only on the basis of the candidate’s performance in these two tests. Candidates are advised to prepare well for the above mentioned tests.
