HIHT University was established in the year 1989 under the aegis of the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust. The university was initially started with a small OPD comprises of 250 bed. The permission for starting the medical college was grated on the recommendation of the Medical COuncil of India, Government of India. The university was founded by the Shri Swami Rama. The university aims to achieve excellence in education and research activities. The campus of the university is spreaded in an area of 200 acres. The campus of the university is divided into three major functional zones: Patient Care Zone, Academic Zone and Residential Zone.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the vacant non faculty positions of Senior Resident, Specialist and Staff Nurses in HIHT University. Candidates will be recruited in the Medical college Himalayana Institute of Medical Sciences and the affiliated hospital of the institute. Posts of Senior Residents are available in the disciplines of Anaesthesiology, Critical Care, CTV Surgery, Dermatology, Cardia OT, General Surgery, Opthalmology, General Medicine, Obst. & Gynae., Othopaedics, Pulmonary, Radio Diagnosis, Paediatrics and Radiotherapy.

1. Recruitment of Senior Resident:
No. of posts: Only 14 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for the post is MD or MS or DNB or Diploma in concerned speciality.

Posts of Specialist are available in the disciplines of Nephrology, CTV Surgery, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Neurology and Endocrinologist.

2. Recruitment of Specialist:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for the post is M.Ch or DM degree in concerned speciliaty (MCI recognised). Canddiates should also possess minimum 2 years epxerience in relevant field.

3. Recruitment of Staff Nurses:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for the post is B.Sc. (Nursing) or GNM with one year experience.

Selection Process:

Selection of best suitable candidates will be made through the merit list prepared after the conduct of interview test. Only successfull candidates of the interview test will be considered at the time of final selections. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview test on the basis of the initial screening of their application form. Candidates are advised to prepare well for the interview test and also to perform well against the selection committee.
