As the name of the college implies, Degree College of Physical Education is running under the control of the HVP Mandal and it is an autonomous institution affiliated to the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. The College is accredited with A grade status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It was established in the year 1967 and it has been offering service for more than 40 years now.

Eligibility requirement:

The eligibility requirements to be fulfilled by the candidates for seeking admission to the above-mentioned courses are given below:

• B.P.E. – Pre-University or higher secondary examination from the state board of Maharashtra or any other equivalent board with English as a subject or any other Indian language as a subject

• B.P. Ed – Graduation with physical education as an elective subject securing 45% of marks or graduation in physical education with 50% of marks and should possess national/state/inter university level sports/games participation certificate

• M.P. Ed – Candidates must possess one-year B.P.E or three-year B.P.Ed degree or B. Sc in physical education or graduation in sport securing not less than 55% of marks

• D.Y. Ed – Graduation from a recognized university in any discipline

• P.G.D.Y.T. - Graduation from a recognized university in any discipline

• Master of Arts in Yogashastra – B.A in Yogashastra or any other B.A. degree with yoga as a subject with D.Y. Ed or P.G.D.Y.T certification

• Master of Computer Applications – any graduates with not less than 45% of marks with mathematics as a subject at the higher secondary level

• Bachelor of Computer Applications – higher secondary with mathematics or three-year diploma in electronics and computer engineering or higher secondary MCVC in electronics technology or higher secondary in vocational stream with mathematics as a subject

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science – Higher secondary in science stream or vocational stream with one language paper or higher secondary MCVC with technical trades

• Bachelor of Business Administration – Must have completed higher secondary with English at lower or higher level and modern Indian languages at lower or higher level with any combination of optional subjects or higher secondary in vocational stream with bifocal qualification
