Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications is a constituent unit of the Chimanbhai Patel Institute, which is a self-financing institution that came into existence in the year 1998. The institute was established under the aegis of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Educational Trust, which was established in the year 1968.

The institute is one among the two institutes established by the trust, one institute meant for business administration courses and this institute is meant for offering computer application courses.

Courses Details:

Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications offer MCA course with affiliation from the Gujarat Technical University. The duration of this course is three years and it is divided into six semesters. Every year, the academic year begins in the month of July and ends in the month of April in the following year and the institute follows the curricular prescribed by the Gujarat Technical University for this course.

The institute also offers BCA course with affiliation from the Gujarat University and this course offers intensive practical and theoretical training to the students in different areas of computer application. The duration of BCA course offered by the institute is three years.

Admission:

Shri Chimanbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Computer Applications is approved with an intake capacity of 60 students per year for the MCA course and admission of students to this course is done based on their performance in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test.
