Structure of Siksha O Anusandhan University Admission Test

SAAT comprised of questions with multiple choice nature having duration of three hours. Number of questions that will be asked for each subject is given below.

• Physics and Chemistry: 120 questions
• Mathematics: 60 questions

From the four options given, candidates should pick their answers and darken the corresponding circle on the answer sheet using HB pencil or ball point pen (blue or black ink).Candidates can score four marks for a correct. Selecting multiple choice or incorrect answer can reduce one mark from the total marks scored by the candidate with right answers.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should qualify plus two or its equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. They also should have studied any of these optional subjects, Biotechnology, Computer science, Chemistry or Biology along with it. Candidates who possess Diploma in Engineering or Technology are also eligible to apply for this test. In all cases candidates need at least 60% aggregate marks.

How to Apply?

Applicants can obtain Application form and Information Brochure for SAAT through three ways given below

Through Online: University website www.soa.university.ac.in will provide the application form online which can be downloaded and filled by the applicant. Then it should be send with a draft of Rs.750/- payable at Bhubaneshwar taken in the name of SIKSHA O ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY, Bhubaneshwar to the concerned authority.

By post: By sending draft of Rs.800/- to the concerned authority, applicant can get form and brochure through post. For that a self addressed envelope should also be send with the draft by the applicant.

Directly by paying Cash: The centers where applicants can directly receive form and brochures by paying cash of Rs.750/- are University counters, Central Bank of India, Axis Bank, Punjab National Bank and Syndicate Bank.

How to fill the Form?

Application number should be noted by the applicant before filling the form with capital letters. While giving information in the rectangular box, don’t forget to darken the corresponding circle beneath it. Make sure no mark is made on the Bar codes. Paste recent black and white photograph. Name, Date of Birth etc should be written exactly as what specified on first board or pre-university examination certificate. Thumb impression of the Left hand should be put on the specified space on the form.

Obtain textbooks and guides based on the syllabus of the exam. Fetch those written by good authors and which are easy to understand

Find a suitable place and time to study: Select a comfortable place and time for studying.

The place where students are studying can influence their concentration. Make sure that place does not distract the mind. Time selected for studying by the students should be comfortable for them. It should compromise the daily routines of students.

Weekly plan: Prepare a study plan for a week. Revise the topics of that week during the last day of the week and again make another plan for next week.

Question papers and mock tests: Try to practice with question banks having many questions related to this exam. This will help to respond more quickly to a question. Undertaking mock tests can also help to write exam with a positive attitude.
