Singhbhum Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital came into existence in the year 1953 and the college has got permanent affiliation from Vinoba Bhave University located at Hazaribagh.

Course Details:

The only course offered by the Singhbhum Homoeopathic College is Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery. The duration of this course is five-and-half years, which is inclusive of one-year compulsory internship. The course is approved by the Government of India’s Ministry of health, Central Council for Homoeopathy, Government of Jharkhand’s Health Education Department.

Eligibility for Admission:

For getting admission to the BHMS course offered by Singhbhum Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, candidates must have completed their intermediate course in science stream with biology as a subject or any other equivalent course from an approved board or university. Candidates must have completed the minimum age requirement of 17 years at the end of 31st of December in the year in which the candidate is seeking admission.

Admission Procedure:

Singhbhum Homoeopathic College admits students to the BHMS course based on their performance in the entrance examination conducted by the Association of Private Homoeopathic Medical Colleges located in the state of Jharkhand.

Internship Programme:

As mentioned earlier, the candidates must take up compulsory internship period of one year after completing four-and-half years course period. This internship period should be completed by the students in the hospital attached to the college. Student will be awarded with BHMS degree from Vinoba Bhave University according to the recommendation of the Principal only for the candidates who complete the internship period.

Extra-curricular activities at the college:

Singhbhum Homoeopathic Medical College organizes scientific seminars and discussions regularly to offer wide understanding to the students. The college also organizes blood donation and medical camps in association with Indian Red Cross Society and it is mandatory for the students to take part in these camps. The students are also motivated to donate blood at least once in a year as a commitment of the college to the society.
