Union Public Service Commission was formed on October 1, 1926 as a constitutional body in the Republic of India. The commission mainly aims to conduct competitive examinations for making appointment to various government positions or civil services of India. The commission has its head office located at Dholpur House, Shah Jahan Road, New Delhi. The first ever public service commission was established by the then British Indian Government. The formation of the first public service commission was resulted in response to the demands of Indian politicians.

Job Profile:

Eligible Indian Citizens are invited to apply on the following Non teaching Medical Specialist sub-cadre positions of Specialist Grade-III in different ministeries and departments of Government of India. The post is available in the field of Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Opthalmology. All the posts are available in Government of NCT of Delhi.

1. Recruitment of Specialist Grade-III (Psychiatry):
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned discipline with atleast three experience in the relevant field is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

2. Recruitment of Specialist Grade-III (General Surgery):
No. of posts: Only 13 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in the concerned discipline with atleast three experience in the relevant field is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

3. Recruitment of Specialist Grade-III (Othopaedics):
No. of posts: Only 12 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned discipline with atleast three experience in the relevant field is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

4. Recruitment of Specialist Grade-III (Paediatrics):
No. of posts: Only 18 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned discipline with atleast three experience in the relevant field is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

5. Recruitment of Specialist Grade-III (Obstetrics & Gyanecology):
No. of posts: Only 30 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned discipline with atleast three experience in the relevant field is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

6. Recruitment of Specialist Grade-III (Opthalmology):
No. of posts: Only 9 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned discipline with atleast three experience in the relevant field is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

Application Fee:

Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by candidates interested in any of the above specified positions. Submission of the application fee must be done in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. However, SC/ST/PH/Women candidates are not required to submit this application fee.
