Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing & Research was set up in the year 2006 as a part of J.K.K. Nataraja Educational Institutions. The institute works under the control of J.K.K. Rangammal Charitable Trust and it is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr M G R Medical University.

Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing & Research is recognized by the State government of Tamil Nadu and it is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai. The institute was established with an aim to provide quality education in the field of nursing and help students attain their goals. The mission of the institute is to prepare the students to face the challenges of the next century.

Course offered:

Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing & Research offers the undergraduate course - B Sc (Nursing). The duration of the course is 4 years duration along with the 6 months of internship.

The college is planning to offer M.Sc nursing shortly.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

The candidates who have successfully passed 10+2 or Intermediate or equivalent examination (in science stream) with at least 45% marks (relaxable for SC, ST categories) are eligible to apply for the B. Sc (Nursing) course in the college. Admission for the course is done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as per the norms of university.

The college has excellent infrastructure with modern facilities such as lecture hall, labs, library, reading room, hostel, computer lab, and medical facilities for students.

The lecture halls of the institute are spacious with comfortable furniture and conducive atmosphere. The lecture halls are also equipped with adequate audio visual aids.
