Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) came into existence on 26th June, 1981 by Smt. Indira Gandhi. The main aim of this University is to build specific technologies and manpower in the areas of agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry. The university works hard for making agricultural development of the plateau region of Bihar. The university also aims to improve the economic status of tribal and other backward classes of the region.

Job Profile:

Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) invites application from eligible candidates for the posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Research Associate (RA) and Project Investigator.

No. of posts: Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 10, Research Associate (RA) – 7, and Project Investigator - 1

Pay Scale – Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - Rs. 23000 for Master Degree holder, and Rs. 24000 for PhD holders; Research Associate (RA) – 1Rs. 16000 for Agriculture degree holder and Rs. 18000 for Veterinary degree holder; and Project Investigator - Rs. 5000 per month.


Age criteria – SRF – The upper age limit is 35 yrs for men and 40 yrs for women; Research Associate – The upper age limit is 40 yrs for men and 45 yrs for women.
