Sri Venkateswara University is one among the premier universities of the nation that was established in 1954. The university offers several under graduate, post graduate, diploma, doctoral and certificate courses. Admissions to these courses are made on the basis of a common entrance exam which is held by the university. The University offers M.Sc in Computer Science through Entrance Exam.

Structure of Sri Venkateswara University M.Sc in Computer Science Entrance Exam (SVURPGCET)

Sri Venkateswara University M.Sc in Computer Science Entrance Exam is an objective type exam. There will be a total of 100 questions which are divided into three sections, section A, B and C. Sections A and B carries 30 marks each and section C carries 40 marks. For every correct answer the candidate can score 1 mark and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Question papers are available in English and Telugu. Answers should be marked in the OMR sheet given.

• Section A: Paper I (PC Software and Programming in C)
• Section B: Paper II (Programming in C++ and Data Structures)
• Section C: Paper III (Modern DBMS)

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants who have completed their graduation in B.Sc Computer Science or any equivalent degree can apply for Sri Venkateswara University M.Sc in Computer Science Entrance Exam. The candidates who have completed B.A or B.Com in Computer Application are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam. Even candidates completing B.Sc. in Mathematics with PGDCA can apply for this exam. The candidates should have obtained a gross aggregate of 50% in the qualifying exam. A relaxation of 5% marks will be given to SC/ST candidates.

How to Apply?

Application forms along with the instruction booklet can be collected from any of banks and post offices as specified by the university by paying an amount of Rs.320/- as application fee. Application forms can also be obtained through post by sending a demand draft of Rs.320/- drawn in favor of Convener, SVURPGCET-2011, Directorate of Admissions, S.V. University, Tirupati-517 502. It is compulsory that the candidate should write his/her name and proper address on the back side of the draft. Documents such as Xerox copies for 10th standard or date of birth extract, mark sheets of the qualifying exam has to be enclosed with the application form. Dully filled application forms along with the documents should be addressed to The Convener, Svurpgcet-2011, Directorate of Admissions, First Floor, SBI Building, S.V. University, Tirupati , PIN: 517 502 on or before the due date.

How to fill the Form?

Candidates must be very careful while filling the form. No columns should be left vacant because incomplete forms will be rejected. After filling the form the candidates should sign in the space provided.
