Profile:

Planning Commission was established under the Government of India. Ministry of Finance is the parent agency of the Planning Commission. The major function of the commission is to formulates Five-Year Plans of the country. The first formal model of planning, the planning commission, was established in the country only after India gained independence. The Planning Commission actually camne into existence on March 15, 1950. Intially, former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was appointed as the first chairman of the commission.

Job Profile:

Candidates can apply for the posts of Superintendent in the Regional Evaluation Office of the Programme Evaluation Organisation Planning Commission at Luknow and Mumbai on deputation basis only.

Eligibility:

Candidates should not be more than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the posts ie. 56 years as on closing date of the reciept of applications.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required ot be Officers of the Central Government and should be holding analogous posts on regular services with atleast 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 5000-8000.

No. of posts: Several posts are available for the specified position.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200.

Selection process:

Candidates selection on the posts of Superintendent in Planning Commission will be made strictly through the personal interview test that will organised on a particular date.
