Staff Selection Commission was initially incorporated with the name of Subordinate Services Commission under Government of India. The commission was set up on July 1, 1976 and started functioning under the Department of Personnel & Training. The commissin actually came into existence for making recruitment on zonal basis for non technical Group C posts under the Central Government. The commission has also been allowed to make recruitment for Group B and Group C posts under the Cnetral Government. The commission comprises of a Chairman, a secretary cum Controller of Examinations and two other members.

Staff Selection Commission (Karnataka Kerala Region), Banglore is looking forward to recruit eligible candidates for the following positions of Surveillance Assistants, Technical Assistant, Instructor (Seamanship & Navigation) and Bosun (Certified) in various Ministeries or Offices of the Government of India.

1. Recruitment of Surveillance Assistants:
No. of posts: Only 40 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 27 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Post is available in Narcotics Control Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs.

2. Recruitment of Technical Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

Post is available in Directorate of Cashew nut and Cocoa Development, Ministry of Agriculture.

3. Recruitment of Instructor (Seamanship & Navigation):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Post is available in Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering, Ministry of Agriculture.

4. Recruitment of Bosun (Certified):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Post is available in Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering, Ministry of Agriculture.

Application Fee:

The amount of application fee for the General and OBC categories candidates is Rs. 50 only. No fee is to be paid by SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman and Women candidates. The application fee should be paid by the means of a Central Recruitment Fee Stamps only. The CRFS stamps are available at the Head Post Office present all over the country.

How to apply: Application in the prescribed format should be sent alongwith the other required certificates or testimonials. All the enclosures are need to be sent in an envelope only.
