SV University Engineering College, Tirupati
The prime institute of SV University Engineering College was established in the year 1959 and is affiliated to the Sri Venkateshwara University. The institute achieved its autonomous stature in the year 2005-2006. With the college plans to expand in their different offered discipline, it is sure to attain a higher status in years to come.
Campus:
The college spreads over an incredible greenery campus of area of 0.8 square kilometers or 175 acres. The college features well equipped laboratories and E-class based education. The central library hubs 23, 000 volumes of books that are relevant for different streams of engineering.
Courses Offered:
The college offers engineering course at both bachelor as well as master level in different streams namely:
1. Chemical Engineering
2. Civil Engineering
3. Electrical & Electronics Engineering
4. Electronics & Communication Engineering
5. Mechanical Engineering
6. Computer Science & Engineering
Each of the above said courses undertakes 40 candidates while the course of Mechanical Engineering undertakes about 60 candidates.
Admission Procedure:
The candidates are admitted as per the ranks they win in the annual entrance test. The college carries out its own selection test where as few seats are reserved for candidates that comes under ranks holder from the AIEEE exam.
Placement:
The college offers excellent placement with various MNC recruiting individual. The names of few of them are Proctal and Gammel, Hindustan Limited, Mahindra and Mahindra, Simplex Infrastructure, Vodafone Communications, Bharti TeleCom, SAIL, HCL, and other such prominent companies.
