Symbiosis International University PhD Entrance Examination- Economics (SIU PhD Economic Test) is an entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International University for the selection of excellent candidates for the admission into the PhD programmes offered by the University. Structure of SIU PhD Economic Test

The admission process for the PhD Economics Programme in Symbiosis International University consists of a written entrance test and an interview. The written test consists of 150 multiple type questions. The time duration for the test will be two and a half hours. The test is mainly to evaluate the basic research skills of the students applying for the test. The question paper consists of two sections of questions. First section includes questions from reasoning, data analysis and language comprehension. The test will be in English Language only. The second section includes questions from the specialization of the candidates. The candidates who have passed NET/SET/GATE/JRF/M.Phil or UGC/CSIR/NBHM fellows have not attended for the SIU PhD test. They can directly get admission. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have a Masters Degree in the specialized subjects with 55% marks from any recognized University can apply for the PhD programme. The SC/ST candidates need to secure 45% marks in their Master’s Degree exam can also apply for the programme. There is certain relaxation provided for the SC/ST/OBC/PH students as per the Indian government Rule. The candidates who have not attending the entrance exam can also get admission for the PhD courses. But they have to pass any exams like NET/SET/GATE/JRF/M.Phil etc.

The University provides the facility for online registration for the Symbiosis International University PhD Entrance Examination- Economics (SIU PhD Economic Test). The candidates can apply through the link www.symlaw.ac.in. The application fee of Rs.1000/- should be paid by credit card. The application fee can also be paid through Demand Draft.
