This paper consists of questions based on the general understanding of the students and questions are put from the prose and poetry sections as well as from the essay writing parts, composition and grammar and other rules of Urdu are also tested.

Importance of paper:

Urdu is one of the many languages spoken in India and therefore one can avail good career opportunities as news readers in Urdu and also translators who can help those from the non-Urdu background in understanding the language. It is recognized as one of the 22 regional languages in India.

Paper Pattern:

This 100 marks paper covers various aspects to make you understand this language very carefully. The paper is a bit tough as all the questionsare to be attempted and there are no sub divisions. The paper-II is based upon question from the grammar and the composition part. There is one comprehension and there are exercise on grammar and other rules of the language. A thorough learning of the language is required for success in the exam.

Time and marks:

The paper gives a maximum of 2 and a half hours to the candidates and the total marks that can be scored is 100.
