As Tamil Nadu is one of the developing states of India, it has several leading colleges that offer that conducts courses in Law. The Law colleges and institutes in Tamil Nadu offer high quality education. These colleges provide excellent infrastructure along with quality education.

Dr. Ambedkar Law University is located in the city of Chennai. It has five affiliated colleges. A large number of candidates across the state of Tamil Nadu appear for this examination every year so as to get an admission in any of the five constituent colleges. Altogether these colleges offer around thousand seats for B.A. L.L.B. courses.

Structure of Tamil Nadu DALU Entrance Test

Language Comprehension

Through Language Comprehension test the ability of the student to express in a particular language can be determined. This section consists of 80 questions from English language and 20 questions from Hindi language. Thus there will be a total of 100 questions for this section. When the candidate makes a right answer, then he/she is awarded with a one mark and for every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be reduced.

General Awareness and Current Affairs

This section is designed in such a way to rate the candidate’s knowledge in general awareness as well as current affairs. It includes a total of 100 questions which covers both the topics.

Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude

The third section of the test is aimed at testing the mental ability and legal aptitude of the candidate. There will be a total of 50 questions of two marks each. For every wrong choice 2/3 marks are reduced.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have cleared 12th board exams with an aggregate of 45% from any of the schools affiliated to state board or central board. There is a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates. The candidates those who are under the age of 21 years are eligible to appear for this examination. Students those who are currently in the 12th standard can also apply.

How to Apply?

The candidates those who wish to apply for the law entrance examination conducted by Dr. Ambedkar Law University can obtain the application forms from the University campus as well as from any of the colleges that is affiliated to this University. The application form can also be obtained through post by sending a request along with the demand draft of specified amount.
