Technical Assistant, Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR
Company profile: It is one of the space centres of ISRO. It is the main launch centre of ISRO about 100 Kms from Chennai. The processing of solid fuel and propellant takes place at this centre. It has launch complexes for ASLV, SLV and GSLV. It provides services in telemetry, tracking, data acquisition etc.
Job profile: They are to contribute their knowledge towards the overall development of the centre. The technical assistants will be responsible for dealing in construction work, handing equipments and their maintenance etc.
Eligibility: Only Indian candidates can apply. The age of a candidate must not exceed 35 years. However, relaxation will be given to reserved categories.
Education required: A candidate must have a three year diploma in any of the following (Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Electronics/Computer Science engineering) from a recognized university with first class pass.
No. of posts: There are 22 posts in total for technical assistants that are divided as Chemical – 09, Civil – 08, Computer science – 01, Electronics and Communications – 01 and Mechanical – 03. There are some posts that are reserved.
Pay scale: The technical assistants will be given a pay band of Rs9300-34800 + a grade pay of Rs4200.
Selection process: The candidates will be screened based on their educational qualifications and experience in the relevant field. Then, these candidates will be called for an interview.
How to apply: The candidates have to apply online on the website www.shar.gov.in
The candidates will get a regt. No. which they have to keep safely for future references.
The candidates have to send the caste certificate if belonging to a reserved category and the NOC letter in case of already employed candidates with their names, post name and registration no. written on the back of the certificate to the following address - Administrative Officer, Recruitment Section, Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota-524124, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh within 7 days of filling the application or latest by 10/08/09.
