The Kerala Law Academy Law College, Peroorkada


The Kerala Law Academy Law College was established by the Kerela Law Academy. In the year 1968, a request was made by the academy to the Government of Kerala to lease out a land for the establishment of law college as a result of which, the academy received the land on lease in the same year and the college was also established.

The college is offering law education with affiliation from Kerala University. The college also received affiliation from the University of Kerala for offering Master’s degree course in Law from the year 1975 and integrated Bachelor of Law course from the year 1984. In the year 1995, the college also began to offer Master’s of Business Law course.

Courses offered:

The Kerala Law Academy Law College is offering the following courses in the faculty of Law:

Three-year LLB course

Five-year integrated BA-LLB Course



Eligibility Criteria and Admission Procedure:

Three-year LLB Course:

Candidates seeking admission to the three-year LLB course, must have completed their bachelor’s degree in any stream of education from Kerala University or any other recognized university with not less than 45% of marks (40% in case of reserved category candidates). The college shall admit students to this course based on their marks in the qualifying examination and based on their performance in the interview.

Five-year integrated BA-LLB Course:

Candidates seeking admission to the five-year integrated BA-LLB course must have completed their higher secondary examination from the state of Kerala or from any other recognized state board with not less than 45% of marks (40% for reserved category candidates). Selection of candidates for this course will be made based on entrance test, interview and marks of qualifying examination.

LL.M. and Master of Business Law Courses:

For seeking admission to these two courses, candidates must have completed their five-year or three-year LLB course from the University of Kerala or from any other recognized university and admission to these courses will be done based on the performance of the students in the interview and qualifying examination score.

How to apply:

Candidates can get the application form and prospectus from the office of the college or they can also download the application form from the website of the college at Candidates will have to submit the duly filled application form along with qualifying examination certificate and demand draft for the application fee to the office either through post or in person before the last date specified by the college every year.

Libraries at the college:

The academy offers the service of three libraries with a wide collection of books and journals pertaining to law, which will be of great use to the students for ready reference.
