DU-IIC 2011 MSc Informatics
University of Delhi-Institute of Informatics & Communication (DU IIC) conducts an entrance test for admission to its two year Post Graduate MSc(Informatics) Course. Institute of Informatics & Communication is located in the south campus of University of Delhi. The entrance test is conducted in a number of cities. A large number of candidates appear for entrance exam for admission to the course. The total number of seats as per offered by the Institute is 62.
University of Delhi is a highly reputed university in the coutnry offering a large number of courses in different fields. It was established even before independence in 1922. At present its one of the largest universities of India. MSc. Informatics Course from Delhi Univsersity is a very popular course among students who are interested in the field of Computer Science & Information technology. The course is divided in four semesters over a period of two years including compulsory training.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidate must be a graduate and must have studied any two of the following subjects:
•Physical Science
• Chemical Science
• Electronic Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences
• Computer Sciences
or a candidate having BE or B.Tech in any stream is eligible for the examination. Those in final year of their graduation can also apply. However these candidates have to submit the proof of pass to the Institute by 14th October of the ensuing year of the admission. If the individual fails to submit the proof by the final date, then the admission of that candidate will be terminated. The interested candidates have to be a minimum of 20 years as on 01st October of the ensuing year of the admission. However the Senior Vice Chancellor of the University may lower the above said minimum age limit by a maximum of one year if the academic performance of the candidate is extremely well.

Last date of issue of application form by post: December31st, 2010
Last date of submission of forms: January 16th, 2011
Date of Entrance Test: February 07th, 2011
Application procedure:
The forms will be available from IIC Campus directly or by post by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected through two based phase namely the written test as well as the Personal Interview. The Written test will compromise both objectives along with narrative and descriptive questions. The Objective Questions would compromise different components such as Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness and descriptive based questions. Individual who have passed their written ability test will be called for a Personal Interview. The final selection will be based on the overall marks obtained in both the written test as well as Personal Interview.
