Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD) for Explosion & Research is one of the Research & Development units of the Department of Atomic Energy. AMD carries out R&D on designing and fabrication of radiometric instruments, development of new analytical techniques for multi-elemental determination at trace and ultra-trace levels, and petromineralogical characterization and mineral beneficiation of radioactive ores.

Job Profile:

Atomic Minerals Directorate for Explosion & Research (AMD) invites application from eligible candidates for the posts of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Stenographer (Grade-II and Grade-III).

No of Posts: Upper Division Clerk (UDC) - 9; Stenographer (Grade-II) – 7; Stenographer (Grade-III) - 2

Pay Scale – Upper Division Clerk (UDC) - Rs. 5200 - 20200 + GP of Rs. 2400 + DA and other allowances; Stenographer (Grade-II) - Rs. 9300 - 34800 + GP of Rs. 4200 + DA and other allowances; Stenographer (Grade-III) -  Rs. 5200 - 20200 + GP of Rs. 2400 + DA and other allowances.

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The maximum age limit is 27 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational Qualification – Upper Division Clerk (UDC) - The candidates must have a degree in arts, science or commerce groups with at least 50% marks. They must have English typewriting speed of minimum 30WPM. The candidates must have computer data processing knowledge; Stenographer (Grade-II) - The candidates must have done matriculation or equivalent with at least 50% marks. They must have English shorthand speed of 100 WPM and English typing speed of 45 WPM; Stenographer (Grade III) - The candidates must have done matriculation or equivalent with at least 50% marks. They must have English stenography speed of 80 WPM and English typing speed of 30 WPM.

Selection Process:

The selection for the post is through written test and interview for Upper Division Clerk, and through typing test/ shorthand test and interview for Stenographer post.
