Indian Institute of Technology- Vinod Gupta School of Management conducts an admission process for its MBA programme. VGSOM-IIT-KGP was established in 1993. It was the first management institution among the IITs. There is no doubt in the credibility of IITs in the field of technical education but VGSOM as a management school also ranks among the top management institutes in the country according to various surveys.

For admission to the MBA programme of VGSOM candidates have to appear in JMET-2010(Joint Management Entrance Test) like all for all IITs MBA programmes. In addition candidates have to apply separately for IIT Kharagpur-VGSOM. Students shortlisted through JMET are called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion for final selection.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have a first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology  OR Master’s degree in Science/ Economics/ Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics as a subject at a Bachelor’s level. There will be relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent in CGPA for SC/ST candidates.

Application Forms:

The form will be available through post by sending a request for the form to Deputy Registrar(PGS&R), IIT Kharagpur. After receiving the form candidates have to send the filled form along with a demand draft of Rs. 1000(Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PH) in favor of ‘IIT Kharagpur’.
