Virtusa Placement Preparation Tips and Placement Process


Virtusa Corporation was set up in the year 1996. The company was earlier known as e Runway. The company has about 2000 employees working in various levels. The company organizes tests, group discussion as well as interview to screen eligible candidates so as to make them part of their team.

Virtusa Placement Test

The placement test comprises of 5 sections including Verbal Ability, Aptitude, Mental & logical thinking Ability, Technical section (C, UNIX) and Reading (Grasping) Ability. The duration of the test will be 2 hours 30 minutes. The maximum marks of this exam will be 120 marks. The minimum marks required to clear this test will be 65 marks.

Virtusa Placement Group discussion and Interview

For those candidates who clear the test there will be a group discussion in the next level. The candidates will be organized in a group of 15 or so and they will be given a topic. They have to talk for and against the topic. Those who will clear this section will have to attend a face to face interview. There will be technical level questions as well as HR level questions.

The aspirants who wish to get into Virtusa must start preparing for the test well prior to the test. They must prepare a very good study plan as early as possible. The plan must cover all the core areas in the test. To clear the aptitude section the best choice is to practice numerous questions from the standard books like that of R.S. Aggarwal. For clearing the reasoning section one should refer books like that of S.Chand. For clearing the technical section one has to be thorough with the core areas in the subject. Time management must be focused in the study plan so as to be prepared for completing the maximum number of questions within the limited time.

Ability to work in a group is evaluated in the group discussion roun*d. Ability to interact with others as well as good speaking skills must be developed to clear this section. To clear the interview section, one has to first of all develop a good personality. They must be pleasant during the interview process. Most of the questions will be to judge the personality of the person who is being interviewed. There will also be questions from the core areas of the subject. So they must be thorough with the whole subject so as to tackle such questions. Good communication skills must be developed by the candidates. They must maintain a good confidence level throughout the interview process.

    Can i clearly know that do we have technical questions in the aptitude round ?
