Alagappa University conducts entrance exams every year for the selection of eligible candidates to its various Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) courses in different fields such as Arts, Science, Management, Education, and so on.

Structure of Alagappa University Ph.D Entrance Exam

The Alagappa University Ph.D Entrance Exam will have 2 sections. One is common for all the candidates which will consists of objective type multiple choice questions of a total of 100 marks and has to be answered within 2 hours duration. The second section will be a subject wise paper which will be separate for each discipline.

Test of Discipline wise subject knowledge (50 marks)

In this section, questions will be asked from the core subjects one has pursued in the under graduate and post graduate program. This section is mainly to analyze the technical knowledge of the aspirants.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have passed their post graduate program with minimum 55% (50% for SC / ST candidates) aggregate can apply for the Alagappa University Ph.D Entrance Exam.

The application form for the Alagappa University Ph.D Entrance Exam can be obtained directly from the University by person or post. There is also a provision of downloading the application form from the official website of the University. The application fee payment has to be done in the form of demand draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of The Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi and payable at Karaikudi.
