Amar Singh College is located in Srinagar and it is an institution with glorious heritage devoted to excellence in higher education. The college was formed in the year 1942 and some of the courses offered by the college are affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University, while most of the courses are affiliated to University of Kashmir. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has awarded the college is B++ status.

Courses Offered:

The college is offering courses under Bachelor of Science in statistics, zoology, botany, chemistry, physics and mathematics. It is also offering BCA, Bachelor of Arts in different subjects and post graduation in geography. The students are also offered add-on course in basics of computers.

Eligibility and Admission procedure:

For getting admission to the different courses under the Bachelor of Science, the students must have completed their higher secondary education with minimum of 40% of marks in the case of students falling under general category and 35% in the case of SC/ST students. For getting admission to the BCA course, the candidate must get through the entrance examination and only students who have cleared their higher secondary examination can attend the entrance examination. Only students who are already doing B.A/B. Sc in this college are eligible to join Add-on course.
