Lady Shri Ram College for Women was established in the year 1956 at New Delhi. Dr. Meenakshi Gopinath is the principal of the College. The college is mainly recognized as one of the premier institutions for liberal arts education in the country. The major objective behind the establishment of the college was to provide access to higher education of quality to women. The college is located in a wide spread area of around 15 acres in Lajpat Nagar, South Delhi. Around 2000 students are studying at present in the college.
