Canter for Development of Advance Computing comes under the control of Department of Information Technology. The centre is actually a premier Research and Development which comes under the administrative control of Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. The centre is responsible for performing research and development activities in the fields or areas of Information Technology, Electronics and other associate areas. The centre was established in the year 1988 and initially the centre started building Supercomputers in context of denail of import of supercomputers by USA.

Job Profile:

Canter for Development of Advance Computing invites applications for filling up the following S&T and Non S&T posts under special recruitment drive for the reserved categories candidates. The vacant positions are Associate Director, Joint Director, Principal Technical Officer, Senior Technical officer and Technical Officer. Selected candidates will be recruited at C-DAC centres located at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Noida.

1. Recruitment of Associate Director (E-Gov) (For OBC candidates):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 46 years as on 31 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech or MCA or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8900.

2. Recruitment of Joint Director (Technical) (For OBC, SC, and ST candidates):
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 41 years as on 31 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech or MCA or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

3. Recruitment of Principal Technical Officer/ Principal Engineer (For OBC, SC, and ST candidates):
No. of posts: Only 12 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 37 years as on 31 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech or MCA or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

4. Recruitment of Senior Technical Officer/ Senior Engineer (For OBC, SC, and ST candidates):
No. of posts: Only 11 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 33 years as on 31 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech or MCA or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

5. Recruitment of Technical Officer/ Engineer (For OBC, SC, ST and PH candidates):
No. of posts: Only 127 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 31 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech or MCA or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Selection Process:

Selection process for the above specified positions is comprises of a interview test only. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their detailed resume alongwith the attested copies of certificates, at the time of interview test or else they will not be allowed to appear for the test.
