B.Sc Colleges in Assam
B. Sc is a popular conventional course that has been into existence for several years now. However, B. Sc in general is a conventional course, several subjects are being added frequently to this degree like the recently introduced biotechnology, biochemistry, etc… to the already existence mathematics, physics and chemistry courses.
The duration of B. Sc courses in India is three years and there are general and honors courses in B. Sc. Right from its inception, the number of students taking up the B. Sc courses is ever in the increase and even in this world of technical courses like B.E/B. Tech the number of students taking up B. Sc courses is considerably high.
B. Sc from Assam:
Assam is a state with good number of universities like Assam Down Town University, Don Bosco University under private ownership and other public universities like Assam Agricultural University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Dibrugarh University and Gauhati University. Almost all these universities confer B. Sc degrees and with the best education offered by these universities, a number of students take up B. Sc courses from the colleges affiliated to the state universities in Assam in different subjects.
Admissions to B. Sc College in Assam:
Normally admission is offered to B. Sc colleges to candidates with higher secondary qualification in science stream from the higher education board of the states of Assam or from any other state higher secondary board and admission is offered purely based on the merit secured by candidates in the qualifying higher secondary examination.
