Admission Process for B.Tech in PMU, TamilNadu

Candidates qualifying the entrance exam conducted by the Periyar Maniammai University, Tamil Nadu can only join for the B.Tech program. The entrance examination is known as Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test for Engineering (PMUET) .The qualifying candidates will be called for interview. The exam is conducted once in a year. The candidates with a score more than 85 % will only qualify for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Program in PMU, Tamil Nadu

The minimum eligibility criterion for applying for this entrance examination is plus 2. The candidate must have scored more than 50% marks in public examination. The Applicants should be a citizen of India. Mathematics and physics should have been studied by the candidate in the 10+2 level as compulsory subjects. For those applying for courses in biotechnology, they should have studied chemistry and biology. Candidates now appearing for the qualifying exams can also apply.

Structure of PMUET

Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test for Engineering (PMUET) consists of two parts. Part A is the written examination and Part B is the interview. The question paper will be only in the English language. The questions will be based on the three subjects which are mathematics, physics and chemistry / biology. Exam will be for 120 minutes and the questions will be of MCQ type. There will be more than three options for each question and the candidate should mark the right answer from those options.
