Admission Process for B.Tech in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University

The candidates are selected to the B.Tech programme in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on the basis of the ranks computed from marks in their qualifying examination. Candidates who seek to join these courses must have passed the Higher Secondary Course (10+2) or any other equivalent examination. They should have completed the 12th class with Mathematics / Botany / Biology, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects from a recognized board. They should also secure 55% aggregate marks (50% for backward category candidates) in the qualifying exam. The candidates are also required to be not above 21 years of age. Permanent residence certificate is a must for those who have studied outside Tamil Nadu in X, XI, XII.   Those who have not studied X, XI and XII standards in Tamil Nadu must submit the certificate of permanent residence in Tamil Nadu. Out of the total sanctioned seats for B.Tech, 5% is reserved for the candidates under the vocational stream.

Fee structure of B.Tech in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University

The selected candidates are required to pay fees as per the university norms which may vary each year. At the time of counseling, the provisionally selected candidates need to pay a non refundable counseling fee of Rs.2000/- (Rs. 1000/- in case of SC / ST candidates). The fees including tuition fee, self supporting fee, lodging fee, special fees, library fee, examination fee, sports fee, computer lab fee, electricity charges and placement fees for B.Tech courses would come around Rs. 32310/- for an academic year.  For the international students, who seek admission through NRI quota needs to pay USD 2100/- per semester. In addition to these, at the time of admission, the candidates need to remit Rs. 8300/- (Rs. 7300/- for SC / ST candidates).
