Paper Pattern:

The paper of Machine Drawing is a very time consuming as it contains 3 questions which are of drawing the machine in the paper. The questions asked have their own alternative in the paper and each question has 2-3 sub-questions in it. The paper requires a lot of practise of the questions and each drawing is required to be dimensionally correct and the drawing should be made neatly. Assumption of data can be made in any question if required and each dimension is given in mm. Each question is of different marks.

The paper is a drawing paper and each question is of drawing the various machine tools and different projection angles. Questions asked are such as drawing of Lewis type foundation bolt, rag and eye type foundation type bolt, isometric view of a pin type flexible coupling, isometric view of foot step bearing, isometric view of a stuffing box, details of a lathe tail stock, sectional elevation, top view and end view of a projection etc.

Total marks and time allotted:

The paper is of 100 marks and duration of the paper is 4 hours only. Question no. 1 and question no. 2 are of 30 marks and question no. 3 is of 40 marks. Questions are further divided into sub-questions. Time is very less for this kind of paper.
