Paper Pattern:

The paper of manufacturing processes is a technical paper ad questions asked is of subjective type. The paper contains 5 questions and each question is with its own internal alternative. The questions are divided into 5 sections according to their module. The questions are divided into 2 sub-questions. The paper is a technical paper and some questions are needed to be solved with diagram and each question is of equal marks. The paper is a compulsory paper in the 3rd semester.

Many questions from the previous year’s paper of manufacturing processes get repeated. The questions asked are such as utilization of raw materials and energy, integration of design and manufacturing, new manufacturing processes and techniques, control of various processes, thermodynamic equation of state, salient feature of Carnot cycle etc. Even the questions are asked on the derivations and principles; diagram is to be drawn accordingly whenever needed.

Total marks and time allotted:

A student can score a highest of 100 marks in the paper and time allotted for this paper is 3 hours only. The paper is of questions which are of equal marks and each question is of 20 marks and these are divided into sub-questions of 10 marks.
