Central Reserve Police Force was formed on July 27, 1939 under the Government of India. The force is actually a paramilitary security agency which performs all its functions under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs. The primary role of the force is to assist the state territories in police operations to maintain law and order. Thye force played a major role in the security arrangements at the time of Paramilitary elections of September 1999. The force actually came into existnce under the Central Reserve Police Force Atc, 1949. Initially, it was established as Crown Representative Police.

Job Profile:

Central Reserve Police Force is going to recruit eligible Male/Female Indian Citizens, who are ordinarily resident of the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat, on the rank of Constable (Technical/Tradesman). Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the above mentioned position before applying for it in Central Reserve Police Force.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit i.e. 18 years. The age of the eligible candidates should also be less than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 23 years as on 1 August 2011. The upper age limit is relaxable for all the reserved categories candidates. For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years while for the OBC category candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable by only 3 years. Other reserved categories candidates will also get relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

All interested candidates must have passed matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Besides fulfilling the minimum educational qualification criteria, candidates should also possess some other technical qualification as well. For the post of Constable (Fitter), candidates must have passed Motor Vehicle Fitter Course (Automobiles) from ITI or any other recognized institute. Similarly, for the post of Constable (Driver), candidates must also possess Transport Vehicles driving license. For the rest of the Constable’s posts, candidates must have good working knowledge of trade in which they wished to be enlisted.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be sent in the form of a Indian Postal Order or duly crossed Demand Draft/ Banker’s cheque. No application fee is to be paid by SC/ST candidates and Ex-Serviceman. The demand draft should be made in favour of concerned DIG, Group Centre, CRPF. No other means or mode of payment of application fee is acceptable by the force.

How to apply: Application form complete in all respect and also in the prescribed format should be sent to the below mentioned address on or before the last date for the reciept of application. The application must be mailed alongwith the other required enclosures. The envelope should reach to the DIGP Group Centre of any of the listed centre in the detailed advertisment.
