Admission Procedure

Higher Secondary course in science stream from a recognized University is the required educational qualification for admission to B.Tech courses. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in HSC. Those who have secured a minimum of 55% marks in qualifying examination are only eligible to apply. Admission to the course is carried out on the basis of national level entrance examination such Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE).

Candidates who have completed Bachelor of Technology or Engineering in respective/ allied subjects are eligible to apply for M.Tech programs. They should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate so as to be eligible. Reserved category candidates require a minimum of 55% marks.  The institute considers Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for admission process. Non GATE candidates can also apply for this course. Such candidates are required to clear the entrance examination conducted by the Institute.

Those who wish to do Ph.D program in engineering subjects are required to secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to obtain at least 55% marks from a recognized University. Admission to the courses is carried out on the basis of written examination as well as personal interview conducted by the Institute. Eligible candidates are required to apply in the prescribed format.
