Union Public Service Commission came into existence on October 1, 1926 under The Government of India. The commission holds the responsibility of being a constitutional body in the country which is responsible or infact authorized to conduct competitive written as well as interview examinations for the appointment to the various Civil Services of India. The Chairman and other members of the Union Public Service Commission are selected by the President of India only. Union Public Service Commission is actually headed by one chairman and ten other members.

Job Profile:

Eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the following vacant posts of Deputy Controller of Mines, Research Officer, Deputy Advisor, Junior Analyst and Assistant Technical Adviser in various ministeries and departments of Government of India. The posts of Research Officer are available in the disciplines of Education Planning, Sociology, Project Appraisal, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Water Supply.

1. Recruitment of Deputy Controller of Mines:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 50 years as on 2 February 2012.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 10 years experience in relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a GRade Pay of Rs. 7600.

2. Recruitment of Research Officer:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 38 years as on 2 February 2012.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in concerned discipline from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 3 years experience in relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a GRade Pay of Rs. 5400.

3. Recruitment of Deputy Advisor (Textiles/Fisheries):
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 50 years as on 2 February 2012.
Educational Qualification: Degree in concerned discipline from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 10 years experience in relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a GRade Pay of Rs. 7600.

4. Recruitment of Junior Analyst (Technical):
No. of posts: Only 11 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 30 years as on 2 February 2012.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 2 years experience in relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a GRade Pay of Rs. 4600.

5. Recruitment of Assistant Technical Advisor:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 35 years as on 2 February 2012.
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry or Bio Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 3 years experience in relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a GRade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted by the General and OBC candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories are exempted from the payment of application fee. Women candidates are also exempted from the payment of application fee. The application fee must paid in the form of a Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
