RBI has invited applications from graduates for the position of ‘Assistant’. Ex-servicemen or SSC passed candidates with a minimum of 15 years of defense experience can apply. Selection process is made through online examination and interview. Online exam comprise questions from topics like reasoning, English language, numerical ability, general awareness, and computer knowledge. Those who clear the written test will be considered for interview. Applications can be submitted online through the portal of RBI before 20th June 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for ‘Assistant’ Recruitment in RBI 2013

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is the basic qualification required. A minimum of 50% marks is required at degree level to qualify. Such candidates must have knowledge in word processing. Ex-servicemen can apply for the test, provided they must be a graduate from any of the recognized University. Those having completed SSC or any other equivalent examination of the Armed Forces, with a minimum of 15 years of defense service can also apply. Moreover, eligible candidate must be proficient with the local language of the state. More precisely, candidate must be able to read, write, and understand the language properly. Age of the applicant must be between 18 years and 28 years. This condition is applicable for general category candidates. OBC candidates can work up to 31 years where as SC/ST candidates can work up to 33 years.

Selection Process for ‘Assistant’ Recruitment in RBI 2013

Selection process includes an online examination and interview. Online examination is conducted for 200 marks and is conducted in objective model. Candidate need to qualify in each session of the test respectively. Questions for the written test will be asked from the following topics.

  • Reasoning
  • English Language
  • Numerical Ability
  • General Awareness
  • Computer Knowledge

Each section carries 40 questions for a total of 40 marks. Maximum time allotted for the test is 2 hours. Those who clear the written test will be considered for interview.

Application Procedure for ‘Assistant’ Recruitment in RBI 2013

Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Application fee for applying the test is Rs. 400/-. Fee payment can be made through online or offline mode. Online payment can be made through Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards where as offline payment can be made through specific public sector banks. Online fee payment should be made on or before 20th June 2013. Deadline date of offline payment is 24th June 1.
