Details of APIIT NAT

Around 25% of admission to B.E courses in Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) is carried out on the basis of National Admission Test (NAT). HSC passed candidates with at least 45% marks can attend the test. The test comprises of objective model questions from topics of Physics and Chemistry. Applicants have the option to attend the test through online of offline mode.

Why NAT?

Admission to 75% seats in APIIT is done according to the decision of Haryana State Counseling Society. They conduct a centralized counseling process for admission, on the basis of AIEEE score. Rest of the 25% seats is filled by management quota on the basis of NAT score.

Eligibility Criteria for NAT

HSC passed candidates are eligible for attending NAT. They should have studied Physics and Mathematics as necessary subjects and any one of Chemistry and Computer Science as optional subjects. General category candidates need to obtain at least 45% marks where as reserved category candidates need to have at least 40% marks only. Aspirants must have completed at least 17 years to apply.

Pattern of NAT

There will be 100 objective model questions for the test from topics of Physics (50 questions) and Mathematics (50 questions). Duration for the test is 2 and half hours. Three marks will be given for each correct answer and 1 mark is reduced for every wrong answer.

Application Process for NAT

Application form or brochure can be obtained by paying Rs.700/-. Fee payment should be made in the form of Demand Draft taken in favor of ‘APIIT SD India’. It must be payable at Panipat. Filled up application forms along with attested passport size photographs must be sent to the address of APIIT before last date. Candidates have the option to select online or offline test centers for admission. This should be carefully specified at the time of submitting application.
