The Southern Central Railway has invited applications for filling 1979 vacancies available for the job profile of ‘Trackman’. Those who have completed 10th class or ITI can submit applications till October 15th, 2013. Selection process of suitable candidates is done through written test, physical efficiency test, and medical examination. The written test includes questions based on topics of general awareness/ knowledge, reasoning, and mathematics. Application must be submitted in specific format in A4 size bond paper.

Eligibility Criteria for Trackman Recruitment in Southern Central Railway - 2013

Those who have completed 10^th class or ITI or equivalent can are eligible to apply. Final year students or those awaiting results are not eligible to apply. Such candidates should be in the age group of 18 to 33 years. OBC and SC/ST candidates can avail age relaxation of 3 year and 5 year respectively.

Selection Procedure for Trackman in Southern Central Railway – 2013

Selection process of suitable candidates is done through written test, Physical Efficiency Test, and medical examination. The written test includes questions of 10th class standard and is of objective type model. Questions will be asked from the following topics.

• General Awareness/ Knowledge
• Reasoning
• Mathematics

Question paper will be printed in English and Hindi and also in four regional languages such as Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, and Urdu. General category candidates need to score a minimum of 40% marks in the written exam to qualify where as SC/ST/OBC candidates need to obtain at least 30% marks.

Those who qualify the written test are subjected to attend the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). For PET, male candidates should cover a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes, 15 seconds, in first chance itself. Female candidates must run 400 meters in 3 minutes, 10 seconds (in first chance) to qualify PET. The medical examination is carried out for those candidates who have qualified the PET. Verification of original certificates is done for those candidates who have qualified the selection process.

Application Process for Trackman Recruitment in Southern Central Railway – 2013

Application must be submitted in specific format in A4 size bond paper. Application fee of Rs.100/- must be remitted in the form of Demand Draft, payable at Hyderabad or Secunderabad. The DD must be taken from any of the branches of the nationalized banks or SBI, in favor of the Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC, Secunderabad. Women candidates, Candidates from minority communities, Ex-servicemen, SC/ST candidates, and economically backward candidates with annual family income less than Rs. 50,000/- are exempted from fee payment. Last date of receiving applications is October 15th, 2013.
