Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Banking (PGDRB) is a 4 month program conducted by IFBI. The course is conducted exclusively for selecting candidates to Officer level positions in Axis Bank. Bachelor degree holders with a minimum of 50% marks can seek admission to the course through IFBI’s Common Entrance Test and a two stage interview process.  First stage interview will be conducted by ICET and second stage by Axis bank. Selected candidates will be provided with provisional appointment letter by IFBI and Conditional Offer Letter by axis bank. Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of IFBI.

Overview of PGDRB in IFBI

PGDRB is a career program conducted exclusively for Axis bank. The main objective of this course is to create a group of banking professionals with adequate skills to serve Axis bank. Through this 4 months program, Axis bank aims for achieving new levels of profitability and growth. 4 months program comprise of 3 month class room lectures and one week on the job training program. On the job training programs are organized at specified branches of Axis bank.  Successful completion of the course enables candidates to join to Officer level position. With experience, they can move to faculty positions.

Eligibility and Selection Process for PGDRB in IFBI

Graduates in any subject can apply for PGDRB in IFBI. Preference will be given for candidates from non engineering and non-MBA background. Required qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 50% marks. Graduation must be obtained in regular mode without any gaps.  Selection of eligible candidates is done through a common entrance test conducted by IFBI (namely IFBI’s Common Entrance Test or ICET), and a two stage interview process.  First stage interview is conducted by ICET and second stage by Axis bank. Those who can get through all these levels will be offered with provisional appointment letter by IFBI. This letter describes the terms and conditions that need to be followed during the enrollment process of PGDRB. At the same time Axis bank issues a Conditional Offer Letter to selected candidates. Conditional Offer Letter claims that selected candidates will be placed in Axis Bank, on successful completion of the course.

Application Procedure for PGDRB in IFBI

Applications can be submitted online through the website of IFBI.  Online application forms must be carefully filled and must be submitted to the concerned link after recheck. Approaching nearest IFBI centers also help one to collect adequate information on application/admission procedure.
