Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has issued notification for the recruitment of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT).  Graduates in the concerned stream with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. For certain TGT profiles, applicants should hold a valid score in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Computer proficiency is desired. Upper age limit for TGT is 35 years.

Eligibility Criteria for KVS TGT Recruitment 2013

Bachelor degree holders with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combination of subjects. Eligibility requirements for specific streams are mentioned here.

TGT (English) – Graduation with English as a subject of study in all the three years

TGT (Hindi) — Graduation with Hindi as a subject of study in all the three years

TGT (Social Studies) — Graduation with any two of the following subjects (Out of this one must be either History or Geography.

• Economics
• Geography
• History
• Political Science

TGT (Science) – Graduates who have studied any of the following subjects can apply.

• Botany
• Zoology
• Chemistry

TGT (Sanskrit) — Graduation with Sanskrit as a subject of study in all the three years

TGT (Maths) – Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with any two of the following subjects

• Chemistry
• Computer Science
• Electronics
• Physics
• Statistics

Apart from bachelor’s degree, eligible candidate should have a valid score in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE (for job profiles mentioned above). Proficiency is teaching in mediums of English and Hindi is also essential. Computer skills are desirable for the job profile.

TGT (Arts Education) – Diploma (five years)/Degree in any of the subjects is the qualification required.

• Drawing and Painting
• Sculpture
• Graphic Art

Working knowledge of Hindi and English (must) and Computer application (desirable) are other requirements.

TGT (WE) – Eligible candidate should have any of the educational qualifications mentioned below.

• Three years Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Qualification must be obtained from a recognized University/institute and applicant should have working knowledge of Hindi and English. Work experience of at least one year from a recognized workshop/institution/factory and computer proficiency are desirable for the job.

TGT (P & HE) — Graduation in Physical Education or equivalent

Maximum age limit for any of the job profiles are 35 years. Those belonging to OBC category can apply up to the age of 38 years and those belonging to SC/ST category can apply up to 40 years. Employees of KVS are exempted from age restriction. Applications can be submitted online through the website of KVS before 28^th August 2013.
