Eligibility Criterion for Recruitment of Stipendiary Trainees in BARC

Bhaba Atomic Research Centre has invited applications for the post of Stipendiary Trainees. Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary course in Science stream and ITI trades are eligible to apply. Selection procedure is based on performance in Personal Interview and Written Test.

Educational Qualifications

Applications are invited for the below mentioned post. Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary course in science stream are eligible to apply.

  • Chemical Plant Operator
  • Fitter
  • Electrical
  • Electronics

Candidates should have studied subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subject in Higher Secondary course. They are required to secure a minimum of first class marks in qualifying examination. In addition to this, they should have completed certificate course in Chemical Plant Operation/ Fitter/ Electrical/ Electronic from a recognized Industrial Training Institute. Those who have one year professional experience in respective area will be given additional preference.

Age Restriction:

Those who have completed a minimum of 18 years of age are only eligible to apply. Candidates who are more than 22 years of age at the time of application are not eligible to apply. Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for those who are belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. Candidates belonging to Other Back Ward class can avail age relaxation up to 3 three years. Those who are domiciled from the State of Jammu and Kashmir can seek relaxation up to 5 years in upper age limit.

Physical Standards:

Candidates are required to have minimum height of 160 centimeters. Apart from this, they should have a minimum body weight of 45.5 kilo grams. These figures are relaxable for those candidates who are medically fit.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates will be short listed for written examination conducted by the organization. Medium of instruction will be in English or in Hindi Language. There will be multiple choice objective type questions in the written examination. Questions will be asked from topics such as General Awareness, Logical Reasoning and subject knowledge. Syllabus for the examination is similar to that of SSC/ ITI examination. Those who have cleared the written examination will be short listed for personal interview on the very next day. Final selection will be on the basis of performance in personal interview.

Those who have got selection will be sent to on job training at Mysore on various aspects of the requirements of the organization for a period of one year. Candidates will be paid Rs. 6200/- per month as stipend during training period. Those who have successfully completed the training program will be given appointment according to their performance in training period. Those who are appointed are required to execute 4 years bond with the organization.
